Nuts

One of the most important aspects to the setup of a guitar is the nut. It's often overlooked, but essential to playability and tuning stability.

If the slots are too high, the guitar will be difficult to play, and the notes will play sharp around the lower frets. If they're too low the stings will buzz on the first fret, when playing open notes.

All our nuts are hand shaped from bone to fit you instrument perfectly and the slots are cut to the correct spacing, height, width and angle.

Reasons for a new nut
  • Old nut slots are too low, causing buzzing
  • Upgrade to bone
  • To correct string spacing
  • Replace broken nut
  • Maybe needed with a re fret

Saddles

As with our nuts, our material of choice for saddles is bone. Each one is shaped by hand to fit you instrument, with the correct height, width and radius.

Bone is also an excellent upgrade to improve the tone on most budget to mid priced acoustic guitars.

We also offer the option of a regular rounded top saddle or shaped to improve intonation.

Reasons for a new saddle
  • Old saddle too low, causing a low string height
  • Upgrade to bone
  • Replace broken saddle
  • Old saddle has incorrect radius
