Terms and Conditions-             

As the Customer, I authorise The Guitar Engineer to repair, restore or modify the instrument described herein according to this agreement. The Guitar Engineer will only perform and provide the services, repairs and upgrades requested by the customer.  While, to the best of my ability, The Guitar Engineer will conduct honest, reasonable and considerate services and provide the highest quality of service and support, specific results cannot be guaranteed.

Workshop hourly rate is charged at £80 per hour with a minimum bench charge / assessment charge of £30 per instrument. 

Once the instrument has been assessed, the Customer will be contacted with an estimate of cost before performing any Instrument Services/Repairs. In the case that the Customer cannot be reached, work will stop until contact is established. 

Turnaround times for most jobs are around 3 - 7 workings days. Larger jobs such as re frets, neck resets, etc, will be longer. While The Guitar Engineer will do its best to complete all repairs as promptly and responsibly as possible, due to work load, process times and finish/glue curing times etc. the work completion date may be earlier or later than that specified.

There may be circumstances under which this Instrument cannot be repaired.  In this case, The Guitar Engineer will notify the Customer and the minimum bench charge applies.

On completion of work, The Guitar Engineer will notify the Customer by email and text. The Customer will need to arrange collection via the The Guitar Engineer Booking page.
The Customer will have 7 days to collect the completed Instrument, after which a storage fee of £5.00 per day will be added to the bill and any responsibility for its safety will expire. 
​Any instrument left over 30 days without notification and further storage arrangements being made by the Customer, will be subject to sale to cover the cost of repair, after which The Guitar Engineer will bear no responsibility whatsoever for the Instrument or its value.

Full payment is due upon completion of services. The Guitar Engineer accepts cash or card payment.
